يحتفل العالم اليوم -“الأربعاء”، 5 يونيو”- باليوم العالمي للبيئة تحت شعار “أرضنا مستقبلنا”، في محاولة لدق ناقوس الخطر حول “التهديدات المتزايدة التي تواجه النظم البيئية في جميع أنحاء العالم
ما الهدف من اليوم العالمي للبيئه؟
يمكن للجميع أن يكونوا جزءًا من حملة يوم البيئة العالمي ٢٠٢٤م، ويساهموا في زيادة الوعي البيئي حول أهمية الحفاظ على الأراضي والحد من تدهورها
اليوم العالمي للبيئة (WED) أو يوم البيئة العالمي الذي بدأ الاحتفال به في العام 1973م في دول العالم
ويتم تنفيذ فعاليات رسمية لهذا اليوم،
كما تم إنشاء برنامج الأمم المتحدة للبيئة ” UNEP ” التابع لمنظمة الأمم المتحدة في نفس السنة للاحتفال باليوم العالمي للبيئة في 5 حزيران لتوضيح المخاطر المحيطة بالبيئة، واتخاذ إجراءات سياسية وشعبية للحفاظ عليها.
وتطور يوم البيئة العالمي ليكون منصة عالمية لزيادة الوعي واتخاذ إجراءات فعالة بشأن القضايا الضرورية٬ بدءاً بالتلوث البحري والاحتباس الحراري وصولا إلى الاستهلاك المستدام والجرائم التي تمس بالحياة البرية.
ويشارك العديد من الناس حول العالم في هذا الحدث للعمل على تغيير العادات الاستهلاكية السائدة والتأثير على السياسات البيئية الوطنية والدولية.
